Snap-On Smile is an ideal solution for people of all ages who are looking for a non-invasive, reversible, affordable approach to restorative and cosmetic dentistry. This life-changing appliance snaps right over a patient’s natural teeth: no drilling, no injections, no change in tooth structure, and it’s removable. It’s an easy and quick solution for patients who want to feel better, look better, and function better, or need a new smile in a hurry for a wedding, reunion or other event.

Dr. Ask stated that this appliance should be regarded as a “stepping stone” to more permanent treatment like porcelain veneers which are superior in terms of strength and other tooth-like qualities, if after wearing your Snap-On Smile you decide to permanently change your smile. Also, your natural teeth should be free of decay or other significant defects of disease before an appliance is made.

Snap-On Smile appliances are made of a crystallized type of resin called “Acetyl Resin”, which allows the appliance to be made as thin as 0.5mm without compromising strength. It is durable and non-staining. This material is also used in heart valve replacement and other applications in dentistry. NASA uses it as well within their aircraft cabinetry for its durability.

Patients can immediately eat and drink with Snap-On Smile, and it requires minimum maintenance. It should not be worn at night unless the dentist instructs the patient to use it as a night brux guard or orthodontic retainer, and should also be removed and rinsed after each meal and thoroughly cleaned daily.
