Dr. Jerhet R. Ask
Practicing Advanced Dentistry, Orthodontics, Implants, and More
Dr. Jerhet Ask graduated from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in May of 2010. He graduated with honors in orthodontics, and was awarded the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and Sullivan-Schein Dental Achievement Award. He completed a general practice residency the following year. Dr. Jerhet received his BS in Business Administration with an emphasis on Pre-Dentistry from Pacific Union College in 2006.
Dr. Jerhet joined Jackson Creek Dental Group in December, 2012. He is proud to be a part of such a well managed and successful dental practice, and looks forward to making sure his patients receive the highest quality dentistry possible, and the most positive and enjoyable dental experience possible when they visit him.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society.
When he is not at work, Dr. Jerhet enjoys spending time with his family and friends and has a long list of hobbies. He enjoys climbing and hiking in the mountains, snowboarding and skiing, mountain biking, surfing and wakeboarding. Anything that puts him outdoors and active. Dr. Jerhet also likes being a computer nerd, and playing video and computer games in his down time.
Dr. Jerhet’s motto is ‘Change a tooth, Change a smile, Change a life’, and he looks forward to doing just that as he builds his practice with his team here at Jackson Creek Dental Group.
Nicole, Registered Dental Hygienist
Nicole, a Registered Dental Hygienist joined our team in 2011, and strongly believes in building personal, one-on-one relationships with her patients to help improve their overall health and well-being. Nicole received her Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts and an Associate of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Folsom Lake College, Folsom CA. She went on to get her Associate of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from Carrington College California in Sacramento, CA.
Educating children has been something Nicole has spent a lot of hours doing. She has worked with Headstart preschools, elementary schools, and homeless shelters delivering oral hygiene and nutritional instruction for both children and adults. She has also been involved with SDDS and Smiles for Kids.
Nicole loves almost anything you can do outside, including playing soccer, and hiking. You can also find her spending time in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Nicole is a true family person and considers time spent with her family and friends to be very precious.
Emily, Registered Dental Assistant
Emily graduated as a dental assistant from Heald College in Salida in 2013 and went right on to obtain her RDA license in July of that same year. She has been involved with us here at Jackson Creek Dental Group for many years. Not only did she do her externship and ROP training here, she also volunteered to work at our Smiles For Kids Day. “I have always been interested in dentistry, and wanted to have a healthy, beautiful white smile,” says Emily. “When this job came open, I was so excited. Everyone is so nice and helpful, and I love that it’s all about pulling together as a team. I am also happy to be working in an office that has all the latest in dental technology.”
Emily is the proud mother of triplets and says “These are fun, busy times for me and our house is never quiet unless the kids are sleeping.” Fortunately for Emily she has all of her family here in Amador County so there is a lot of help taking care of the little ones.
Horses are something that have always been a part of her life and she spent a couple years showing them and winning ribbons at the Amador County Fair. Emily also has a love for soccer, playing both indoor and outdoor tournaments over the past 16 years. In addition, on any given day you might find her cooking and baking, or just being outdoors and in the snow during the winter.
Lauren, Registered Dental Assistant
Lauren graduated as a dental assistant from National School of Dental Assisting in Modesto in January of 2016. She previously worked at Alpine Dental here in Jackson before joining Jackson Creek Dental Group. “I had heard a lot of great things about Jackson Creek Dental Group,” stated Lauren. “Many people had told me that this office was a good, family oriented business and fun to work at. And when I was was here doing my working interview I observed just how friendly and helpful everyone was.”
Born in Columbus, Georgia, Lauren moved to Jackson with her family when she was a year old and went on to graduate from Argonaut High School. She and her family have remained in the area and she is now raising her children here as well.
When Lauren is not at work, you’ll find her playing basketball on a women’s league, or out at the softball field working the diamond on a co-ed league. She also loves gardening and just hanging out with her family.
Cara, Patient Coordinator
Cara graduated from the National School of Dental Assisting in 2013. She worked as a Dental Assistant, a Patient Coordinator, and as an Office Manager, all for the same company before coming to Jackson Creek Dental in 2018. As someone who grew up in Amador County, Cara is excited to bring her experience back to her hometown. Cara has kept her Dental Assisting license and can jump into an Assistant’s chair if needed.
Cara’s practice philosophy is, “continuing to give patients the best experience in dentistry along with learning all advanced dentistry.”
In her free time, Cara loves spending time with her daughter and family. She also enjoys working out at the gym her and her fiancé are part owners of (Cover Six Strength & Performance) and likes reading a good book.
