Dr. Ron M. Ask
Practicing Advanced Dentistry, Orthodontics, Implants, and More
Doctor Ask is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1977. He received the Omicron Kappa Epsilon award for being in the top 10% of his class scholastically. Also in dental school, he received the outstanding achievement award from the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Ask is passionate about the constant pursuit of excellence in his dentistry. He feels strongly about providing comprehensive and advanced dentistry for his patients. “In the pursuit of becoming a world class dentist, Ron Ask’s mission in life is to build organizations to build people”.
As most dentists, Dr. Ask supports and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and subsequently, the California Dental Association (CDA) and the Sacramento District Dental Society (SDDS). In 1980, he became a charter member of the American Association of Functional Orthodontics (AAFO). Dr. Ask incorporated orthodontics and functional facial orthopedics into his practice since 1980. He has also been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Sacramento Valley Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr Ask served as a dentist consultant for Maric College and was a Health Advisory Board member of the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency.
Jackson Creek Dental Group (JCDG) started in 1978 with 1 patient in a small town of now 4,564 and a draw of approximately 40,000. We have grown each year and now JCDG now has 5 general dentists/partners, 8 passionate hygienists, and 27 astounding staff members working out of a completely remodeled 18 operatory office. We work hard, have fun, and are greatly involved with world class patient care every day.
For a number of years Dr. Ask, along with his partners, taught a group practice management seminar at their alma mater. He has lectured for his peers on a number of occasions, on “Opening the Vertical Dimension, Made Simple”, along with authoring an article on the same subject. The last time was a full day course to 158 dentists, students, and instructors at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. He has taught “Biblical Financial Small Group Study” seminars and was the Crown Financial Ministries director at his church.
He has enjoyed providing desperately needed dentistry in out-of-the-way places like Nicaragua, Mexico, the Marshall Islands, Costa Rica, Peru, and Armenia twice (his father’s last name used to be Azkabedian) and Egypt most recently. He also enjoys going to dental continuing education classes, gardening, and traveling. Locally, Dr. Ask has lead JCDG to provide free services around Valentine’s day to needful children for the last 36 years. Now, JCDG coordinates this day with the national and SDDS “Smiles for Kids Day”. To date, JCDG has donated over $500,000 worth of services on this day, not including what is done daily for the needy over the last 43 years.
Ron is honored to be the husband of 45 years to his lovely wife, Jeanine. They have a son, Jerhet, who graduated in 2010 also from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) and now the 5th partner at JCDG. Their daughter, Lawryn, also graduated from LLUSD in 2015. We are praying she will be our 6th partner and Dr. Simpson’s son, Kyle, our 7th partner. Yes, the cassette tape in their cribs seems to be paying off.
Nicole, Registered Dental Hygienist
Nicole joined the practice in January of 2023 as a temp, she loved the practice environment so much she decided she did not want to leave. Nicole grew up in Wyoming and still has family out there that she visits often. Nicole also completed Dental Hygiene in Wyoming.
She looks forward to growing her patient base here at Jackson Creek Dental Group for years to come. Nicole’s professional goals are to build her relationships with her patients to breakdown the stereotype that dental offices have, to educate and make every patient feel comfortable and proud of their dental health. Nicole loves the fact that Jackson Creek Dental Group works as whole. No matter what position the staff member is in they all support one another to benefit the patient.
Nicole loves traveling with her husband and dog Josie in their new trailer. Nicole loves to cook and be with her family. She is always down for a good time. Nicole works in the community any opportunity she gets to make a healthy impact on our community members.
Isabela, Patient Coordinator
Isabela, also known as Issy, is a positive open minded person. She loves to help everyone in the office with a smile on her face. Issy loves animals, soccer, a good soup/ramen, and reading. Issy shares how she loves the welcoming presence the office has and how helpful everyone is. Cool fact: Issy has a Lady Certificate to her own castle in Ireland. Issy is always full of fun facts and even does our jokes and riddles board for our staff.
Issy would one day like to volunteer for runs in the areas such as 5k, 10k or even an Ironman. Issy enjoys crocheting, running, hiking, fishing, Lego’s, Star Wars, Harry Potter and reading. Issy is always up to something fun! When is not going out on adventures with her boyfriend and fur babies, you will see you at the front desk with a smile on her face.
Kelsey, Registered Dental Assistant, Orthodontic Assistant
Kelsey is new to this area, but loves it! She moved here from Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County, in the fall of 2019. A graduate from the Santa Rosa Junior College Dental Assisting Program, Kelsey has been working in the dental field for over one year. She previously worked for Whole Health Dentistry in Santa Rosa where she learned the importance of oral health and how it effects the entire body. Her and her husband moved to this area because they love the outdoors. They like to hunt deer and turkey and also love to fish. They thought this was the perfect area to settle down of Amador County’s alluring landscape and that it will be a great place to raise a family.
Kelsey wants to “create a peaceful and positive environment for patients and co-workers.” She seems to be the perfect fit for our office. She likes our office because, “Everyone is so kind, nice, and welcoming plus they really get along and care about each.” In her free time you can find her chasing and playing in the dirt with her son.
Leanna, Registered Dental Assistant
Leanna joined the practice as of October of 2023. Leanna is such a compassionate person who just wants to make ever patient feel comfortable in her care or the office. Leanna is extremely helpful and flexible. Leanna will jump in for any doctor or assist with the hygienist at any moment. Talk about a multitasker. Leanna never gives up and always wants to improve because she knows it is never ending.
Leanna has been assisting dentists since 2019. Shortly after receiving her Associates degree in Dental Assisting/Dental Science she went right to work in an office in Sacramento.
She was there until she decided to find something closer to home so she could be a more present mom to her kids. We are honestly blessed to have Leanna as part of the Jackson Creek Dental Group family. She fits in great and we love her motivation.
Leanna has so many things on her bucket list she could not name them all. She mainly wants to travel and see as many places as possible. She loves to go bowling, hiking or anything water related or outdoors. But do not get her near spiders. If Leanna is with her family and their dog she is a happy camper.
Faith, Registered Dental Assistant
Faith worked for Jackson Creek Dental Group back in 2022 where she was just a Dental Assistant. Faith was not with the practice long due to her wanting to pursue her goal of becoming a Dental Hygienist. She left to complete school and since she has graduated with her Pre-Health Associates Degree and is now a Registered Dental Assistant she decided to return. While in school during that time it has expanded her knowledge in the medical field and she now is more interested in Nursing but still has a high drive for Dental.
Faith looks forward in advancing in her schooling to become either a Nurse or Dental Hygienist (or maybe both haha). Faith is such an uplifting spirit to be around she is full of sparkle and fun. She is a great addition to have around, even if it may be for a short period of time. Faith always willing to assistant the patients, other staff members, and the doctors in whatever they need. Faith is focused in having a good and confident mindset accompanied with a good work ethic while at Jackson Creek Dental Group. She is succeeding in her goals and she can achieve anything.
When Faith is not hard at work or school she is enjoying her time with her family, dog, and working out (loves yoga). She would love to travel to Greece, see Zach Top, and build her dream house one day.
