Emergency Dental Care in Jackson, CA
Jackson Creek Dental Group is Here When You Need Us
It was 7 p.m. and dinner time. We were scheduled to leave the next morning to begin a 3-week African Safari. I felt something hard in my mouth – my filling came out! I needed a dentist immediately! I remembered seeing the Jackson Creek Dental Group as I traveled on Highway 49. I placed a call and within 15 minutes received a return call from Dr. Simpson who listened to my panic stricken voice and within the hour I was sitting in his dental chair getting a temporary crown . By 9 p.m. I was back home and the next day on my way to my African Safari!!
In the event of a dental emergency, a Jackson Creek Dental Group doctor is always available. On evenings and weekends, someone is always on-call, by cell phone, ready to help.
What To Do If a Tooth Gets Knocked Out!
A knocked-out permanent tooth is an emergency! It must quickly be put back in place if it is going to be saved.
What to do:
- Find the tooth.
- Handle the tooth only by its crown (the top part), never by the root!
- Gently rinse the tooth immediately with saline solution or milk. (Tap water should only be used as a last resort. It may contain chlorine, which may damage the root.)
- Keep the tooth from drying out until you see the dentist. You can place it back in its socket and hold it in place, store it in milk, or place it between your cheek and lower gum.
Call Jackson Creek Dental Group right away!
Note: Baby teeth, if knocked out, do not need to be put back in.
