In the spirit of the holidays, Jackson Creek Dental Group employees and patients, in conjunction with the Foster Family Service (FFS), proudly sponsored an Angel Tree in their office early in December. The angel tree program is coordinated by FFS and helps make the holiday season a special time of the year for Foster Children and their families.
Over the past several weeks, employees and patients have chosen gift angels off of the tree and shopped for the age group/gender they selected. The gifts were then returned to the tree and picked up by FFS in time for their holiday party for the families later this month.
“This program offers a way for us to help bring some happiness into the lives of foster children and their families in our community,” stated Sandy Garcia, Marketing Programs, Jackson Creek Dental Group. “Our employees and our patients had a great time purchasing holiday gifts for the children we sponsored on our Angel Tree, bringing out the best spirit of the season.”
Since 1989 Foster Family Service has been certifying foster families to care for children in need of a safe, nurturing home. In their 21 year history they have placed thousands of children in to both foster and adoptive homes. Their program is designed to provide quality foster and adoptive services for children who must live apart from their biological family. They accept children 0-18 years for placement through both short- and long-term care, who through no fault of their own, cannot safely live at home.
